When I love I love with all my heart
and many times love has torn me apartLeft me alone and pulled me under
Dreams shattered and torn asunder
So I put my heart up on a shelf to wait
till I'm ready to love again and thinking straight
Take my heart down
Turn it around
Make me believe in love again
Take my heart away
Convince me you'll stay
Don't make me wait for love this time
Let's commit the perfect crime
I'll steal your heart
and you'll steal mine
I always give more then I take away
I am just that way
To just be true to someone like you
Is all I really want to do
I'll never ask you to change
Cause each one of us are
strange in our own way
I love you just the way you are
I've come too far
To quit now and even though
I've been through so much
I still believe in love that is true
and I know it is out there waiting
for me and you.
Take me as I am, I give you my hand
take it and lead me where we need to go
Show me love is really not a dream
I know what is meant to be will be
When I find the right one
I know love will be all that it seems
but for us to start we both need
to believe with all our heart.

Like No Other Man I Ever Knew

I was concerned for him every day Although I knew he'd never look my way I felt drawn to him in so many odd ways His eyes touched the deepest depth of my being I knew I was wishing for hopeless things & dreaming But this man was like no other I had ever known it was as if he could see the real me without being shown it at all I wanted to walk away but it was if his soul would call and I could not turn away at all no matter how hard I tried to go astray It was if our connection was yet unknown but kept us near With him I had no fear I could be myself and not be afraid to reach out My mind was always tossing me doubts but my heart knew better it never wavered for it was his essence I savored I longed to feel his touch but I knew I wanted too much I want fate to decide so I will be patient and wait What is meant to be will always find a way & I hope to meet this man someday. When I feel my patience running thin I think again I think of how much I love you and how your heart has touched my soul so unique  and new  I try to be understanding and caring because I know the burdens you are bearing It is hard to say what I feel when I look at you It is true No words can comprehend my feelings  deep in my soul I have no control Many times I thought of giving up and I think no more could be given but My love for you keeps me driven Love does not take kindly to changes so abrupt Why tear down what has taken so long  to build up? Love needs time to grow anew  You can't just give up you have to follow through Once your heart has decided who is right for you To truly touch the heart of another you have to be patient even though your weary They may try others before they reach you but if your heart is insistent you have to be persistent.  So much love is lost by those who have given in to despair when they should have stayed aware Love hap
