The most valuable treasure to me you may not be able to see. A friend could be considered a treasure in the right measure. Fools' gold may be a friend who looks like the real thing but, inside there is nothing. Good friends are like precious stones each having their own tones. Stay away from imitations save yourself the frustration. Find a good friend that will stick with you till the end. Then you will find the greatest treasure too, a friend that is true. This year I resolve to make friends with my fellow man To lend a helping hand. To help those in need, For lost ones I will plead To make a fresh start To think from my heart. To give where the need is great For there is too much hate. If I could do all these things What change would it bring? I think I need to start with me This is where I see the greatest need to be. I need to thank God for the many blessings this past year For it is only when I walk with him my path is clear I need to make sure he stays in my heart this coming year Then and only then can I spread good cheer. Yes I believe this New Year's Resolution is the Solution Walking with him and trusting him in all I do this year. Only then can all my burdens bear. God can only make a Happy New Year. We will never forget that day Loved ones lost and lives in disarray. As we watched and mourned the loss of our fellow man All across this great land. To those responsible we had to say You will not get away. Patriotism was seen for far and wide But seem to disappear with the tide. Have we lost our spirit reborn that day? Did we give Ole Glory away? The events still are clear to me I can't understand what I see. No one wants to see more lives lost, But they don't understand the cost Of the freedom we have today They want to let them take it away. We didn't earn our freedom by standing still No one wants to kill We just want justice to be done Patriotism is an army of one. We all have good within  Keeping it hidden could be a sin.  When is the last time you shared  a smile?  When is the last time you went  that extra mile?  To help a friend in need,  this is true friendship indeed.  So where do you begin, to find  this Angel within?  Where there is a need would it  be your creed, to lend a helping  hand and take a stand?  To help your fellow man is a job  for all to say I can.  Angels are everywhere.  Everyone should care.  If only for your own kin, find your  Angel within.  Copyright Christy 2013

Do you ever wonder why? Then start to cry. Do you search for a meaning? While tear drops are streaming. You seem so alone and wonder why your life has taken this tone. Perhaps it's because you never paused to look inside, to see if hope presides. Maybe you should look in the great book or to the heavens above where hope is as free as a dove. Can you catch it? No. You have to know how to ask without a mask. God gives hope freely, though it does not come cheaply. Hope is like a foundation, why this interpretation? Hope has to start off strong so it can live on. You will know when it's in your life even though it takes strife. God can give you the strength you need so you can proceed, knowing you've found hope to abound, right where it belongs in your heart and never again will it part. Where brotherly love can still be found, Where so many troops' footsteps have sound. As the Liberty Bell rings And fellow Americans sing. All across this great land United we stand. You see a gray sky, feels like your heart is beginning to die. You've been tossed and tried, all the tears you have cried could make a river. Life can deliver such pain, as the rain comes down, You have already seemed to drown. You feel stranded and abandoned. Love has left you empty handed. Then a light breaks through a cloud. You hear someone saying out loud. Don't be scared my child this is only mild. I have been with you all along, my love has kept you strong. This storm will clear and I will always be here. As I wonder what is left for me What is it that I can't see? Running in circles all around To this lonely life I seem to be bound. I have tried to find someone but I always seem to end up as one. I love my freedom this is true but long for something new. Is there anyone for me out there? I have so much love to share. Love, affection, caring and being true These are the things I offer you. If I have but one heart to give away Why is it so hard to find a place for it to stay? All the good ones seem taken or lost I have already paid a heavy cost. All God's Creatures Great and Small Take care of them all. Tigers and Horses are my favorites it's true Their survival depends on you. Give them their space That is our duty as part of the human race. Respect and Love them, all Life is sacred No matter where they roam. Each one has it's own home. If We try to box them in, in the end they will win. Born to be wild and free That is their right you see. Take time to appreciate all God's Creatures For they are all beautiful in their own way If we help protect them they won't fade away. In the beginning men and animal were one in the same We can't talk to them and that is a shame. What do you think they would say if we had that ability today? Waves that come and go No one ever knows what the tide will bring in today Will it be a message in a bottle or manta ray? The shoreline stretches as far as the eye can see Oh what wonders wait for me. As the cool wave flows in I can see the sun setting. His eyes were like stars in the night the way he looked at me melted me instantly. The touch of his hand sent shivers up my spine the warmth of his hand against my skin gave me feelings I could not define. As he caresses me I could not wait for him to undress me. One man could never give me these feelings I had but it was true he was in control and there was nothing I could do.
